WHAT HAPPENED?

Did I go to sleep with my toes just barely touching middle class, getting ready to celebrate a major wedding anniversary, feeling blessed with a good life to see my husband and I through, than I woke up to this nightmare?

At first I was proud our Country could possibly elect a man of color to the highest office in the land.  Than I thought he was a wondrous Pied Piper, his words were his melodious tune that was leading us down a path and I prayed it was the correct path. Than all the money being thrown about for the enormous bling-bling parties and so much, tacky, undignified gushing.

Was anyone thinking about what the rest of the World thought of us through that seemingly endless time?  Mrs and President George W. Bush were exceptionally gracious, did anyone notice?  No, what I did notice was at every chance, the people around  our Pied Piper were twisting the knife at every chance.  I sensed an agenda had all ready been put in place.  A lot of Chicago people. Many did not expect to be caught.  They thought the Bush and Cheney sins would still be blocking the American vision. Rahm Emanuel was quickly picked and had his work cut (no pun meant) out  for him.

The remaining Republicans still had some fight left in them.  The people of color could be counted on, but only to a point where it did not effect their life style they had worked so hard for.  It is March 3, 2009 and President Barack Obama has caused this Country and it's people Trillions of dollars which we, as tax payers will have to pay for as well as our children, our grandchildren and even beyond.  Can't blame that all on Bush.  No sir, you can't.

President Obama tells us it is going to get worst before it gets better.  How many of us, will even see "better?"
Is our President a Pied Piper or a Puppet?

Wake me when the Obama presidency is over or when someone figures out what the heck he is doing as President of the United States of America.  He may be America's first President of color, but he is not going to be an inspiration to those who had so much faith in him.

By gosh, you done good Sarah,

Most people who know me, know I am a huge Sarah Palin fan, so I was glad to see her take on that debate with so much gusto and natual charm.  To bad there isn't another debate or two.

Sorry Tina Fray, but the real Sarah Palin is MUCH better looking than you.  Sarah Palin has had 5 children, a 20 year old son and is going to become a Grandmother. Wow, and she looks that good!  That must be a good life up there in Alaska and that handsome husband helps.

I think Sarah Palin is a gift and I hope people have the common sense to realize it.

Banned from commenting on Huffpo blogs.

Little ole me, after all this time, (over a year) had my profile removed and was told, when I wanted to comment, "this person is banned."  Wow, I tried to follow the rules.  I did follow the rules, I just disagreed with most of their bloggers.  I even had some fans and some right leaner's starting to comment. I thought they would appreciate that, but oh no,  can't have that, no Conservatives allowed.  No first amendment rights on Arianna Huffington's Website. All must walk in lock-step with the elitist left.

So much for the Fair Floss Revolution.  Huffington Post Blog, threw me under the bus, because I wouldn't get "Off the Bus."
Huffington Post Blog is a dark, dank corner of the blogospere were some one like Roseanne Barr's opinions matter  and some one with a name like Fair Floss' opinions do not.

Are you watching folks, the government is taking over.  This will soon be a one party Country and freedom will be some thing the old timers whisper about, how they got banned from Huffpo blog.

The girl can't help it,

Once again the "bail out/rescue bill," failing to be passed in the House, was taken on by the Senate.  After being passed by the Senate,  (they added some more pork) like extended tax exemptions for wooden arrows, (watch for an increase in wooden arrow manufacturing) so tree huggers be prepared, as well as full health insurance, for the mentally ill.

Maybe I should stop calling extreme hatred a form of mental illness.

You would think Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi would have learn her lesson after the tirade she went on earlier this week, but no, her hatred for the President and his administration is so extreme, so ingrained in her very soul, mind and being, that she could not and will not let it go.  She is a seriously dangerous person. She is a danger to the leader of our Country, to our Country and the American people. I believed she should be relieved of her duties immediately.  She is a disgrace.

Priming Sarah Palin for failure,

Is it just lovely how the media release little bits and pieces of Katie Couric's interview with Governor Sarah Palin,  the Republican nominee for Vice President?

The question that really got to me was,  (I never watch CBS so must paraphrase) what Supreme Court ruling stands out in your mind?
Here is how I think Sarah should have answered unapologetic;
Oh gosh Katie, I don't know, there have so many of them and it's is not easy to have one pop into my mind with out either a little a warning or more information, unless you expect me to just pull of out of my butt and make myself a target for ridicule.  Why don't you just pull one out of your butt and than I'll know what you have on your mind and I answer it.

Katie Couric had a hard time making it up to the top of CBS,  you would think she would have a little compassion for a sister attempting to climb up a ladder of success.  That's all right Katie, the winds of Karma are going to start blowing stronger and stronger, it's not all good karma either.

Now, Gwen Ifill of PBS is going to conduct the debate.  I have always considered her a professional and mostly fair journalist.  But, she does have a serious conflict of interest and if she were Katie Couric or Diane Sawyer or Megyn Kelly she would never get away with it.  There is a serious game of reverse racism being played and no one in our generation deserves it.  Yet, every one is afraid to call it what it is.  If Gwen Ifill had the integrity, she would request she be replaced, for the seemingly conflict of interest, from the debate.  We shall see tonight.

Yes, Mister Dylan, "the times, they are a changin" was this what you had in mind?

Are they clueless?

Doesn't the Congress realize they have a lower approval rating than President George W. Bush?  So when Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi started her hateful, partisan diatribe against the Republican President and his party, could she just not control herself or did she see it as a freebie?

I swear, if she had been sporting a little mustache under her nose I would of thought her a kin of Hitler.  What was her reason for that?  When she was called on it, who hurries to her aid, Barney Frank, referring to someone (a Republican) getting their "feelings" hurt.

Now maybe some people are naive enough to buy that little act, but I think it was a set-up. It was dirty politics and meant to stir up the partisan pot.  Speaker of the house, Nancy Pelosi can no sooner be non-partisan, than Bill O'Reilly can not scream, yell and fly into a rage. If she is that much out of control, than she should be asked to resign and get her own television show.

When this was suppose to be a non-partisan, for the American people, very important vote, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, went out of her way to bring down the Republican party and why isn't she sanctioned for it?  Were she a Republican, the Democrats would be calling hearings for impeachment.

The Democrats are getting to powerful.  It is starting to look like a one party Country.

SOME DEMOCRATS ARE FEELING GRANDIOSE.

When are people going to realize, Senator Harry Reid of Nevada, is completely lacking any kind of ethic's and decency?

Many think they are team players, they do forget the team they are playing for is the United States of America.

The blame starts, please note, September 25, 2008,  Senator Harry Reid and some of his fellow Democratic comrades, blamed the failure to agree on the mostly Democrat legislation on Senator John McCain.  The whole matter was complicated, yet diabolical.

First, he, (Reid) in his capacity as leader of the majority of the Senate, calls those on the campaign trail to come in and help iron out this legislation for the bail out of the Bank failures, etc.  Than when Senator John McCain drops everything, stops his campaigning and goes to Washington, he is condemned by Harry Reid.  Later it is said, "Leader," which it seems Harry Reid likes to be called, accursed Senator John McCain for "setting back the almost completed legislation to square one."

Wouldn't the Democrats have fun with Seven Hundred Billion dollars?  Think of the pork and/or earmarks they could spend that on.

The insults and nastiness has started and the "Blame McCain" mantra has also gotten it's start.

The Democrats must be worried.  Be strong pretty Sarah Palin, look towards Mrs Cindy McCain, she is strong.

My Opinion

I just want to share a little thought with whom ever reads this and perhaps plant a little seed that will hopefully sprout and set some thinking in the long term, instead of the short term.

I sometimes think we women should be more like "the good ole boys network" only of course, we'd be "the good ole girls network," just long enough to get a woman into the higher echelon of the government.

We don't have to agree with each and everything she believes in, she just needs to react like a woman normally would and open the door for the rest of the women.

Forget some stupid phrase, like "breaking through a glass ceiling," what the hell does that mean anyway? That is just something that came to a advertising man, while he was looking at himself in a mirror in the men's room. The "good ole boys" all thought is was something that would keep women busy, attempting to figure out how to do it and women would not get a chance at the top job.

It's insulting. We want to walk through the door, into the Oval office and be called Madam President.

Sarah Palin can get us there, the time is right and everyone of you know it. But no, we are to busy finding fault with every little detail, (some man may have subliminally told us about) therefore we will never allow her to make it to the top job.
In that case, women probably don't deserve the top job either.

Wake up and smell the coffee, while you're serving it. If Governor Sarah Palin is not ready to be Vice President, or a heart beat away from being President, no woman is. Yet each and everyone of you know, as I do, I am ready to take over for my husband if the need arises.
If we can't get together and help her get elected Vice President, than dear ladies, you won't see a woman in the Oval Office, in your life times, except on her knees. (Scrubbing the floor of course.)

Like it or not, women are all riding on "the good ole boys" coat tails and they only let us ride as far as they want us to go. It is our choice to change that.

The best pick ever.

Governor Sarah Palin (R) from Alaska.  I've heard of her before and didn't know if she could kick through the Ice ceiling in Alaska, but "hot diggity" she did. (I can see her dealing with Vladimir Putin.)

This is a frontier woman, strong and unafraid.  She's the mother of five, proudly seeing her oldest son off to serve his Country in Iraq, gives birth to her youngest son, knowing full well, he is mentally challenged.  I admire her totally. She doesn't just talk about women's issues, she has lived them.  Who else, could  proudly share the ticket with a War Hero and former POW like John McCain.

For those women who wonder how a 44 year old woman and mother of five can look so good.  The cool to cold weather of Alaska is good for the skin.  Her handsome husband is a fisherman. (Fish is brain food.)  Keeping active also helpful, with her busy life, she has done just that.
Thank you Senator John McCain for picking Governor Sarah Palin as your running mate.  Brilliant choice and brilliant timing.

Lights, Camera, Action...,

The audience waits in anticipation, having grown tired of one rock band after another, one has-been speaker after another, the packed stadium is ready for the real star...,

Than out he walks, smiling, relaxed, looking comfortable with a Hollywood set behind him, I thought for a moment, "he's not Victor Mature, just Barack Obama. no wonder there isn't a chariot."  Make up, lighting, sound, applause, applause and more applause.  A stadium transformed into a Hollywood set.  Eighty thousand adoring fans.  High paid stars of music, recording, television and movies, all there.

Tears flowed in admiration and in plan old fashion, worship.  For some it seem to be a religious experience.
I get the whole thing about him being a man of color, nominated by the Democratic Party to run for the highest Political office in the Country, leader of the free world.  It is an important job and instead of all this expensive, eye candy aka bling, bling, shouldn't we be more concerned with the content of the man, as well as his qualifications?  Have our values changed that much?

His speech did not live up to my expectations.  He is confident in his orator skills and over confidence leads to lax performance, a vagness that is never quite enough. Nothing daring.  He threw everything in but the kitchen sink.  He moved left again and away from the center, where most of us live. He attacked his opponent with a savageness that could only be approved of by the far left.  Especially after John McCain had publicly congratulated him on his conquest and suspended any campaigning against him on that Historical day.

Yes, it was quite a production and there is no doubt, particularly in my mind, that talents and the money of the heavy weights of the film industry and it's moguls were behind all this spectacular event.  How very much wisely, all this money could have been used in a more altruistic way.

It all ended with confetti being shot out of canons and fireworks.  Oprah said she "cried her eye lashes off."  That's all right, she can afford more. Now all those private jets can go home.  I know people who "chemo" their eye lashes off and they can't afford more.

No boo's for Bubba...,

Than he appeared on stage, to an uproarious, thunderous, applause. Signs waving, the applause seemed to go on for the longest time.  Former President, William Jefferson Clinton knew he had a limited time scheduled and he had a lot to say before he got the hook.  Yet, the crowd kept applauding, as if they were encouraged to.  He begged them to stop, but still they continued. Finally, as if their hands were getting tired and the sign wavers told the clappers they could stop, it slowed down. Than the first full sentence out of Bill Clinton's mouth, there was another eruption of a applause. Some one was going to control Bill Clinton, by hook or by crook. That was the most managed  Event, the DNC has ever had.  All that big Hollywood money and production no doubt helped.

Every one knows, Bill Clinton can go off the teleprompter and say what he wants to say and I have no doubt he did, but he kept it light that night.  He started out with praise for Joe Biden, moved on to praise for Hillary Clinton so quickly, it left little doubt that he thought she should have had the top job.

Than there was a summation of his own Presidency, all Peace, prosperity and  economically sound for eight years. He didn't mention how he cut our military and froze our military's pay.  Forcing young, well trained, professionals, with families, to live below poverty levels.
He didn't mention the American Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania being bombed, by Al Qaeda and costing both American and African lives. Isn't an attack on an American Embassy similar to an attack on America?  He failed to mention how the genocide in Rwanda, passed under his radar. He never mentioned the attack on the USS Cole which cost young American sailors their lives. He never mentioned the Kyoto treaty he refused to send to the congress or the opening of ANWR bill which had so much bipartisan support, he refused to sign.

They, the crowd, waited patiently for him to give Barack Obama his approval and he finally did.  Yet in doing so, he included himself in that, as well.  "Sixteen years ago, a young, inexperienced man...," would his name be Bill Clinton?  If he is comparing Barack Obama to himself...,  God help us all.  So much for the man from Hope.

And than their was Hillary....,

A vision in, ah,  orange,  Hillary Rodham Clinton, moved around the stage, utterly and inequitably, taking in the thundering applause, the screams,  calling out of her name and the signs, suddenly appearing out of no where, waving back and forth.  This was her moment and every one who looked at her knew it. She drank it in.  She smiled and waved back. She was craving out her legacy,  her own little  niche in history.  She was giving her daughter a "how to" lesson in pride and self worth.  Good for you Hillary.  I like you even more than I thought I did.  I hope you undid some of the damage Chelsea's father did to her self esteem.

Michelle Obama couldn't even force a smile, nor could Joe Biden.  Their applause was less than honest.  With a reception like that, I am sure they had no idea what she would say.
She delivered her speech flawlessly.  She spoke spareingly about a United Democratic Party, she told her followers to vote for the nominated Barack Obama and Joe Biden.  She mentioned that Michelle Obama would be a wonderful  First Lady, than lucky for her, it was the anniversary of the 19 amendment, the woman's right to vote. So she made quite a stirring talk about that, not forgetting it was only white women that were allowed to vote at that time, she brought up Harriet Tubman and the underground railroad and wove that into her speech.

All and all, it was an inspiring speech for Hillary and the women's movement, with a generous sprinkling of humor.  It ran longer than expected and mention Barack Obama, maybe 8 or 9 times.  Nothing about his achievements, just about a United Democratic party. She was so close, she could almost taste it. Not to hard on his opponent, John McCain.
The bitterness is still there and probably always will be. She won't get over this one quickly.
Tomorrow night, former President Bill Clinton.  I think he'll behave, but he has a lot to live up to, following Hillary.

The Democratic Party, parties...,

The first night of the Democratic Convention has come and gone.  It was, interesting and a touching.  Senator Edward Kennedy, proved himself to be the fierce old Lion and quite likely the last of the Kennedy dynasty to achieve that title.  He might be remembered as the "Kennedy in Winter."  I don't necessarily agree with his politics and I haven't always admired his actions, but he does present a noble bearing of sorts and as a man that is dying, I thought him to be quite brave.
Michelle Obama was lovely.  Sometimes her speech, seemed a little disjointed, but never the less, it seemed natural.  I believed she came from a family just like mine, but her Mom never had to work and she, herself, had no after school or summer jobs.  No, that not at all like me, but more like Beaver Cleaver's family.  I am sure she came from a very good family and she did mention her husband quite a lot, who is the candidate for the highest office in the land.  Their daughters are adorable and that always gets to me.  Michelle looked lovely and I was glad to see her choice in clothes. Very feminine, very flattering.

Tomorrow night will be interesting, (I hope) with Chelsea Clinton introducing her mother, Senator Hillary Clinton.  I am not sure I have ever heard Chelsea Clinton speak before?  I am sure Hillary will be noble and gallant,  but will Bill Clinton be, the following night?  We shall see.

So when the Democrats party, they do not seem to be having much fun, so far.  Could this be the "Change," they keep talking about?  Or have they not even gotten the party started?   Maybe they need to call on that infamous "truth or dare" girl who once called herself a "boy toy," to entertain them.  The half century old, singer, dancer, self promoter, Modona.  She would do anything to promote her latest tour.  She would even "dixiechick" a war hero.  But that is all right, she knows what it is like to be held captive.  Remember her first marriage?
